First, Springfield does not have a full squad. We did not have wrestlers all year at 3, 12, or 19. Our DQ Hvy decided he didn't want wrestle after the NE duals. So that leaves four holes with 0 points each tournament. Even with those holes, Springfield was very competitive as a team being led by Grayson, Vlcek, and Nye. There is another Grayson at 125 who has all the technical skills, but making the adjustment from MS to HS wrestling has been up and down. Plus, outside of the Grayson boys, only the 160 (Weber) and Vlcek have more than four years wrestling experience. Try having a competitive D1 team with that total wrestling experience. Moreover, only Grayson and Vlcek are returning letterman. Every other Springfield wrestler is a varsity newby. Weber was in an out of the lineup last year as an extra.
That said, a tougher schedule wouldn't hurt the Grayson's, Vlcek, or Nye.
Getting to Darby will not be easy for Grayson. Newburg and Walker will probably be seated 1st and 2nd with Grayson being 3rd. To get to Darby he will have to beat at least one of them or possibly both. Can he do this, possibly if he wrestles his style. I agree Vlcek has the toughest go to get to Darby. Winkler, Carmen, Paulson and Hamilton are all tough. Yet, Vlcek should have beat Paulson twice last weekend. (Lost both by 1 points and was ahead in the 1st match). However, Paulson found a way to win. Vlcek has the ability to get to Darby, but he will have to beat two of those four to get there. Tough draw. Nye has it a little easier and it is highly unlikely that he will miss either Rose or Jackson at Sectionals.
If Grayson gets to Darby, he will get to State.
As already stated, 4 get to districts. No way Grayson doesn't make it out unless he isn't 100% healthy or something unfortunate. Rose is wrestling 285, so Nye won't see him, but he will see Hunter (centerville, runner up at gwoc) in the semis at sectionals. Should be a good match.

I am about 99% sure Walker is dropping to 171. He looked kind of small for a 189 at GWOC. He definitely looked smaller than he did at the beginning of the year when Centerville dueled springboro.
