Don't forget about Holter from Watkins, he pinned Giannakos in the dual and always seems to pull them out when they matter. District Alternate last year and he is a pinner.Dad4Sports;658336 wrote:Hoffman has Longwell/Donatelli, Giannakos -

You know, all season long I've wondered why Davis (Lancaster) has been ranked #1 at 125 in Central District coaches' poll and Boone (O. Liberty) at 3rd when Boone nearly teched him to win the Sectional last year and was also SA. Kind of odd. There seem to be other misranks like that, too. I see that they aren't in the same sectional this year, so there won't be any kind of rematch, but just seems strange. Any thoughts? I assume they are both having good seasons and that Smoot and Boone would be a good match up to see at sectionals since they are both ranked. Does anyone know if they have wrestled each other previously?Kwrestling;658327 wrote:you forgot Davis from lancaster. Pick north has smoot and ryan and Alexander (is he wrestling?) also booker is good. and in Marysville hoffman looks like a loner. -

I know that Davis and Smoot wrestled at Bradley but dont know if Boone has mixed it up with either yet. -
rasslerDavis wrestled Anthony Michael at Liberty in the finals and lost 7-5 in OT. Davis beat Haslam 5-0 in the finals at Mt. Vernon's Wazzie Tournament. Davis beat Smoot 9-2 at Hilliard Bradley's Porter Memorial in the semis. Davis then got teched by Longwell in the finals of The Porter Memorial. All at 125. You are also correct in that Boone easily handled him in last year's section finals at Pickerington Central. It may have even been a tech, if not, it was close to a tech. Boone is very good. To my knowledge, Michael and Longwell are his only two losses this year.
I can't speak for Cruiser and his rankings, but my guess is that Liberty was so loaded between 125-135 that it was a guess to see who would ende up where between Michael, Ryan and Boone. All 3 are quality wrestlers. In hindsight, I would personally rank them Longwell, Boone, Davis but I suppose you can't go wrong any way you do it. -

Who only lost to Michael & Longwell...Davis? Sorry you lost me for a bit there.... -

Thats how I read it. -
rasslerYes, Davis' only losses so far are to Longwell and Michael as far as I know. Another mistake I made is that he wrestled Michael in the semis at Liberty not the finals. Michael then wrestled Campbell from Lexington in the final .

You're right. Liberty loaded in those classes -- never know who's gonna be where. Then again, they're loaded in a lot of classes, so it should make for a great sectional with TV, Coffman, Gahanna. -

Hoover(RB)? Really?iGranby;658364 wrote:i didnt mean THE 160 at westland (dont know anything about anyone on the westland team actually) just mean the weight class in general
Pickett (CC), Brown (WC), Hoover (RB) were all names that just stuck out to me immediately -
SidAt Westland I see 7 possible DQ's at 160 Pickett (CC), Brown (WC), Patrick (MF), Hoover (RB), Lopez (DJ), Bond (L) and Fox (DS). I'll copy and paste it to the proper link as well. Feedback rocks! Not really an expert at 160 though.

he isnt the most consitant, but i think his shape will improve when he is down to 160 (believe he has already made it twice now) and i think the fact being that it is his senior year, he will step up when it countsTigerRaider1;661019 wrote:Hoover(RB)? Really? -

I hope your right! His first surgery set him back and he had to go back in Monday for another. I would like to see how he does against Pickett when he is in a little better shape!
If Reynoldsburg wants to finish 4th at Westland they better bring their A game! -

i think if everyone on their squad really brings it, they could finish higher than 4thTigerRaider1;661886 wrote:

I think PN is the top one but Marysville is second with Westland 3rd.
But hey thats my take not that it matters.
And Id like to see who had what seed. I've asked twice already... -
GettinItDoneRemember what everyone said last year though? That watkins was the easiest sectional, and then had 14 state placer?
