At first glance, LH is the tougher of the two.

At second glance too. - ( although Bradley has Olentangy) I see a couple weightclasses at LH that will be VERY interesting for being just the sectional level. Can't wait
  • Dad4Sports
I think Bradley is much tougher as my first impression....need to take a look at it for a while
  • iGranby
152 at Bradley is gonna be good
  • Kwrestling
    125. Lee Wilson+Hutchins+Abdel-Salem? thought lakewood was D1.
  • kennypowers
    Hebron lakewood
  • The2cKDude
That is Hebron Lakewood, the other lakewood would be D1 and up by cleveland. two Lakewood High Schools.

I wouldn't want to be a heavy at the Licking Heights sectional... but they are more even than I thought. I realize Brakeman has some weights off, but he ranks the following wrestlers.

    Brakeman Ranked Wrestler by Sectional

    Bradley… 22 Brakeman ranked wrestlers….
    285 7 Young Olentangy
    215 13 Jackson Hartley, 18 Steinmetz Olentangy
    189 2 Blankenship Jonathon Alder
171 10 Clark Whitehall, 11 Baker Alder, 13 Zang Hartley, 19 Riggs Bradley
    160 4 Higgins Bradley, 17 Gadd Olentangy
    152 6 Hetterscheidt Olentangy
    145 25 Zoller Bradley
140 17 Straight Whitehall, 19 Santos London, 23 Whorle Bradley
    135 15 Fosco Olentangy
    130 5 Caserta Olentangy, 22 Jones Bexley
    125 15 Thompson London
    119 2 Fiorucci Olentangy, 20 Black Alder
    112
    103 9 Torti Olentangy

Licking Heights – 23 Brakeman Ranked Wrestlers
285 12 Griffith Big Walnut, 10 Pressley Canal Winchester, 13 Settles Hamilton Township,
    18 Willis Granville
215 7 Redman Licking Valley, 15 Brown Big Walnut, 19 Gordon Granville
189 17 Harble Licking Valley, 19 Kent Granville
    171 8 King Lakewood
    160
    152 19 Ferguson DeSales
    145 11 Allen DeSales
    140

135 10 Boswell Canal Winchester, 12 Dunlap Licking Heights
130 11 Tulius Canal Winchester, 25 Maynard Licking Heights
125 4 Hutchins Canal Winchester, 8 Wilson deSales
    119 12 Parsons Licking Valley
112 6 Price Licking Heights, 13 Brady Canal Winchester
103 8 Gutierrez DeSales, 22 Nethers Licking valley

I believe Brown is not wrestling this year for Big Walnut.....also I read elsewhere that Allen is out for DeSales due to injury. Anything to this?

Very nice break for Mr. Young (285) to be at the Bradley sectional...... IMO he loses to the top 3 at Licking Heights (although Brakeman somehow has him ranked the highest of the 4).

Come on D2 people... tell me who is missing from this discussion. What unranked wrestlers will make waves at their sectional? Who is on here at completely the wrong weights and what weight will they be wrestling? What city league wrestlers have the best chance to get out? Hopefully some from East since they are hosting the district tournament. Chatter! I want some chatter!

Higgins (Bradley) is now at 152, Whorle (Bradley) is at 135 (I think), Zoller (Bradley) is now at 140, and i think Riggs (Bradley is now at 160....im not 100% sure about Whorle and Riggs.

Caserta has been werstling 135 and Fosco has been at 140, not sure if they will slide back down for the sectional, eitehr way, both should compete for sectional titles

at 152, Higgins Vs Hetterscheidt could be a 3 peat 3 weeks in a row, matching up in the sectional and district finals, and possibly at the Schott, THAT would be sick!!

i hope results form both of these sectionals are posted asap after their completions, wish i could go watch

Mifflin from city league has a few that should make it out:
103 Phan was DQ alternate last year
135 Mills was DQ alternate at 145 last year and is 27-5 this year
160 Budgett has already beat Fooce from JA in the finals at Northridge
189 Kenley was DQ last year at 215
285 Robinson sophmore whom was ineligible but back could easily be in the finals at Bradley

Whorle...130. Supposedly Caserta and Fosco will be at 130 & 135

I believe Willis and Gordon have switched spots for Granville.......

Maynard is not 130.....has not been all season.....look for him at 140

Nethers from LV is at 112....don't know if he can go to 103.

City league, some that I know....125 Hendricks & Ross, 140 Waits, 189 Kenley, 285 Brown

  • Kwrestling
Jonathan Alder's 189 is Bobby Blankenship and yes he will be back.
  • Dad4Sports

is that Jalen Robinson? he is a tough dude. I have been looking for him in results all season long! haven't seen him since he was in middle school.
  • nic1633c
yeah thats him he was ineligible the first half of the season but he is back now and looking good

Paris Matteson at 125 (District Alternate 2010), Germaine Smith at 130, and Jeremiah Brown at 285 (District Alternate 2010) from Columbus South High School. Smith at 130 defeated District Qualifier Ross from Independence last week in a great match. Brown defeated Tanner Wright from Vandalia Butler back in December in overtime, Wright is ranked in the Brakeman Division 1 at #17. He (Brown) has been hit and miss the rest of the season. If he can have a good showing against Robinson from Mifflin and Gusan from Walnut Ridge at the City Championship, I see him taking that momentum into sectionals, pulling off an upset somewhere in the bracket to be a district qualifier.

Mifflin's best shot is Kenley at 189 (District Qualifier at 215 in 2010), Mills at 135, and Robinson at 285 who should benefit from an easier 285 bracket at Bradley. Phan at 103 can also surprise some people if he gets a good draw.

East has a sleeper that might surprise some people at 103.

Independence has Ross at 125 (District Qualifier 2010).

Centennial has Hendricks at 125 (District Qualifier 2010), and Waits at 135.

Some weightclasses (285 especially) are more stacked than the opposing one at the other site, but overall Hilliard Bradley and Licking Heights are pretty even in my opinion.
