acouple of real tough weights and a solid tourny overall.

    Champs are:

    103: Kakos FH
112: Price LH (tough finals match with Herrara WN)
    119: Youmans WN
    125: Rhaodes HT
130: Ouzts WN (great finals with Jones BX)
    135: Dunlap LH
    140: Maynard LH
    145: Minillo GH
    152: Cameron WM
160: Croley XE (came out of nowhere, BIG DUDE)
    171: Sobiech WN
    189: Kent GV
    215: Gordon GV
285: Settles HT (my most anticipated match of the night with Willis GV, didn't disappoint 12-8 final with a MUCH closer match than the score indicated)

I believe Hamilton Township won the team title, though it may have been westerville north or even Whitehall, all three teams were neck and neck in the team race all day.

was unimpressed with the reffing Thought herrera had at least 1 TD and at 25 the WM kid was pinned and at 130 Jones BX was definately flat as can be and tapped out twice! I just didnt get it.

The explanation I got on the Herrera no call was that he was down by the ankles, not showing control and made no attempt to move up the body. Had he even moved up to the knees he would have had the points.

I agreed with the explanation as it was the same thing I thought during the match. Of course, the call went in favor of my kid, but even had I been the opposing coach and argued for 2, I would have been able to accept that explanation. I felt like he gave Herrera plenty of time to improve the position and after about 15 seconds when it didnt change, he called them out of bounds (I thought they were out much sooner than that because Herrera had one foot out of bounds at one point and Price had both out).

Either way, it was a good close match that both kids got to learn from.

Didn't know tapping out was an option in Ohio HS wrestling. Thought that was only in MMA!

that's the thing about pictures, they stay flat forever!

in all honesty i do think he was pinned, Bexley impressed me overall though. Didn't realize they had such a tough team this year.
