For 112, pick a Davis and go with it, be decisive! Longwell is clearly better than at least one of those other guys. 130, Alger beat Boone twice last year, why is Boone ahead of him!!! 135, Ryan just beat Hinze, he should be ahead of him too!! Winston (WC) has never made 140 yet!!! Why does 145 get to have six names? I could go on, but I won't. Please do your homework before you post any more "rankings". Thanks.

I think one year I forgot to mention McCombs. That was a hoot!

Go CRUISERS and Go Central Ohio!!!

No apologies necessary, I appreciate all you do. Hope he makes it......

152 cameron and 160 giffin for watkins. watkins will be the darkhorse team this year. all 14 weight classes filled and fairly young assuming they make weight and show up. cameron is 10-0. west jeff tourny coming up should see where they stand. possible occ contender!?!?

I think Bradley and Watkins are Neck and Neck for that OCC title

"Terrible news, guys... All my notes are saved on a computer at the high school. The only good news is that Sunday night or maybe Monday morning I might ba able to stop in a transfer them to my pen drive and finish them up in time for the break to be over. I had each weight class about 5 deep. Just off the top of my head here is what i can think of (through all of this negativity, I might add! )

THESE ARE NOT IN ANY RANKING ORDER just names I could remember...

Now listen up and listen good. I went off the top of my head here so I GUARANTEE AND AGREE that I missed SOMEONE!!!!!!!! I am admitting this now. BACK OFF!!! "

Wow! Hatin before you read the post?
Come on hippo give the dude a break!
He couldnt of explained it any better.

I can assure you I read his original post thoroughly. Thank goodness you took the time to highlight the parts I may have misunderstood. Clearly he could have explained it better and then I wouldn't be in this predicament of confusion.

(Cruiser, you getting this? My gift to you this Christmas.)

My wife just looked at me from across the room. It was my laughing out loud that made her look my way - ASIDE FROM MY STUNNING GOOD LOOKS, OF COURSE - Then, inquisitively, peeked around the computer to see what I was reading... she was not amused. Can I just say... I WAS!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the laughs, guys. You guys brighten my day.

I got really bored and checked quite a few of the weight classes. Is there any weight class deeper than DI 160? I truly dont think so. Of the five you mentioned, I have one of them at 8th and another 13th in my 160 rankings (yes, I know everyone is an expert). The first three you have I have as well but in a differing order. I do know you said they were not in any particular order anyway. I added one of your 152's and put him at 9th. I also added a 171 wrestler you had and put him at fourth. I also have two City League wrestlers ranked 7th and 14th. Even Central Ohio DII and DIII have some very good wrestlers at 160. Prather from West Jefferson DIII (hes argubly the best 160 of them all and could likely wrestle for the state title this season) and Andrew Higgins from Bradley DII who is very talented and will likely place high. There are more at DII and DIII but I just didnt list them. Looks like there will possible be quite a few placers at all divisions at 160 from Central Ohio. Should be fun to watch this group this year. I thought 130 and 145 should be tied for second toughest groups numbers-wise. Just an opinion. Feedback would be great.

Why don't you list Sid's Rankings? That way we could give the feedback you want.....hard to determine much without more info :)

keato5;611901 wrote:"im talking about 6 or 7 district placers!!!" Thats a good one! Come on I think most of us like to root for our home school, but really!!! 6-7?? You guys wont even have 6-7 kids win your league! You probably only have 3 league champs! I know its hard for Viking fans to think logically about sports, but try pls! Luft and Leidecker are the two real shots to get out! Leidecker better get to 171 or he might be sitting at home as well. I do like TV they have a solid team, but 6-7 is unrealistic. And by the way Spearman and Strope. Davis and Miller all get out! With Spearman and Strope on the podium.
Keato- How many kids from roundtown will win the league?? Not many sir. How many kdis from cville will place at the district tourney? 2 at the most!!! When your team gives teays and actual match, then you can get on here and run your chops about the Vikings.

That is great! Typical Viking fan......Well I tell you what sir.....Circleville has a great chance to beat your Vikings this year, and win league. Jan 20th we will see! Come on down!!!! Its going to be a big event its PIN CANCER NIGHT as well........CGTV5 will be broadcasting. Should be a very tight match with Circleville edging out the Vikings.
BTW You asked How many kids from cville will place at the district tourney? 2 at the most!!! " My answer is......Yes I hope two/three will place at districts. That would be a good year.

I was going to post my 160 list...but, this is more entertaining :)
  • keato5
Sorry Sid, pls continue with your 160 list. :o
  • Sid
Im kinda afraid now...if i dont list a TV kid Usmc is goin to bite me :) I would like to say something about your conference. I don't recall anywhere else there is a DI school with so many DII and DIII schools in the same conference. With wrestling only having 3 divisions it seems rare. In other sports, for example Football there are six divisions. In wrestling when a DI school wrestles a DIII school it would be like a DI/DII football school playing a DV/DVI school. Im so confused....
  • Sid
Ok, since I didnt get nailed on that post i'll list 10-15 DI 160's. I based my rankings on how they finished last year, this year and head to head match-ups (if I could find them or knew them).

    15. Devin Brown (Teays Valley)
    14. Tavonte Burney (Brookhaven)
    13. Robert Coles (Grove City)
    12. Brandon Carbajal (Dublin Scioto)
    11. Juven Lopez (Dublin Jerome)
    10. Cody Doyle (New Albany)

Sid- I wouldnt bite your head off! Come on! I just have to defend my vikings against the Rivals of Roundtown! lol. Alos, I have wondered the same thing as to why they do not put us in the OCC, here is why. We are D1 in wrestling, and a few other sports. I think the athletic director would rather wait until we are D1 in the majority of our sports to transfer to another league. Personally i would lvoe to go to the OCC, better competition and more of it.

Keato- I hope you do give us a match. I love the heated rivalry duals. But lets look at it on paper, circleville, even though a better year for them, do not have the fire power to take down the 10X (3 in a row) msl champs in the Vikings. I hope you do get 2 or 3 kids to place in the district, i always root for the msl when tourney time rolls around. But this is discussion for another topic already in the forum>

I disagree that 160 is the deepest. While it is definitely tough I feel 119 is the toughest. There's Disabato(Davidson) Hunter(Central) Strope(Lancaster) Longwell(Darby) Moorehart(Teays Valley) McCurdy(Hayes) Ray(Westland) Riley(Mt Vernon) Jurcisek(Orange) and I've been told Westerville North has a tough 119 as well. What a tough weight class. I feel state placing quality guys won't even qualify due to the depth.
  • Sid
Yes 119 looks tough as well. Had to adjust a few from my orginal because of a weight change by a few wrestlers. Anyways heres my #5-9:

    9. Bo Giffin (WM)/Kaczowski (OL)*Not sure what weight Big Kacz will end up at ...ergh...messed my rankings up. Dang it!
    8. Kyle Ehrhardt (HD)
    7. Dalton Hoover (RB)
    6. Michael Patrick (MH)
    5. Jordan Montgomery (MV)
  • USMCdevil05
I think the Ehrhardt kid from Davidson is better than 8th, but again hjust my opinion.

119 is definetelty the toughest weight class at darby. Very Very Deep! You have 5 state qualifiers! I think you will see maybe riley or longwell go to 125.
  • Sid
Ok, big mouth. Where would you put Ehrhardt at? :) That #5-9 group is a tough call. You think he can beat Hoover or Montgomery? I wasnt really sure. Maybe. Giffin is tough too. Plus Patrick is the pride of the City league.
  • USMCdevil05
Giffin is tough! lol! I wasnt busting your chops! I was just commenting on your opinion, just as everyone does mine! lol!
  • USMCdevil05
those guys are all toss ups i guess, they could go in any order
  • Sid
I wasnt offended. I love the feedback. Your good...sorta :P
