WooDogHey Dad4Sports, how about an opinion on the Canal line-up for MIT
-
iGranbyill give a thought or two on what little knowledge i have.. sorry if i forget any big names on these teams, like i said, my knowledge is limited
Coffman - Murdock will be at 112 ( i think, not 100% sure) i can see him being top 3 there, or even at 119
Darby - I forget his name...but their 171 was a state qualifier last year and is quite good...could see him in tha top 4 fa sho
Pick North - Solid team across the board, i dont know a lot about them aside from their middle weights, Hinze at 135 is good, i can see a top 6 placement, Howes at 140 is also good, could see him nki the top 4, their 145 Corrider is good, i wouldnt be suprised to see him grab a spot in the top 8.
Westerville North - Herrera at 103 ( i think..??) is good, i can see him top 6, also Outz at 135 (spell and weight check?) is also good, can see him in the top 6
Heights - I believe Price is at 112 he could grab a top 6 placement although i dont think the top 4 is out of reach, Maynard and Dunlap are at 140/135 i Believe, but i dont know who is where, i think they both could be in the top 8, i would try and get more specific, but, i dont know what weight whom is at.
Olentangy - Now, this is a Dynamite team who i believe will be close in the top 3 of the team race, Solid through out every weight class, Fiorucci as at 119 ( im pretty sure ) and could be in the top 2, Caserta at 130 is good and should be in the top 4 (he wrestled at 135 this past weekend, but i think he and Fosco will move back down) Fosco at 135 is top 6 here in my opinion, Hetterscheidt at 152 wrestled great at 160 in the season opener and had impressive results at 152 at north canton, i could see him being a finalist at MIT, 160 Gadd is also good and could grab placement
there...i gave it a try...i know its only central ohio teams...but, i dont know a lot about many guys outside of central ohio, just giving thoughts and opinions on guys ive seen this seaosn and in seasons past -

Not sure yet. There may be some changes as guys are allowed to finally drop (due to the weight management rules). Will know more in a few days. Hutchins (125) is a 2-time MIT placer....Brady (112), Tullius (130), Boswell (135), Banks (215), and Pressley (285). All should have a chance to make some noise.....WooDog;608531 wrote:Hey Dad4Sports, how about an opinion on the Canal line-up for MIT -

Very nice write up Granby! Good on ya! -
CthelitesIt's Tyler Bowens. Not sure if he's going 60 or 71 regardless he should make some big noise(took 6th last yr)
Also Longwell should be ready to go at 119, he is a returning MIT placer as well.
El-Geruise at hvy could also place.
Keep an eye on 103 Valenti.
Darby wrestlers will be wrestling there optimum weights for the first time this yr.
Good luck guys! -
cruiser_96I'm hoping to meet up with Zeb for the finals. I'm thinking if he's doing the finals, I can do the 3rd place matches. Another idea, one that hit me today, was tape any 3rd or 5th place match that has a Central Ohio kid. (If two kids are wrestling, one for third and the other for fifth, I would go with the higher placement match. However, if three kids are wrestling for either third or fifth, I'll record the match pitting two Central Ohio kids against each other!!!)

cruiser_96Where does Donatelli end up??? Not that he has to move given that his results have been good so far. Just wondering if any and all shifts have him in the plans as well.
...just trying to keep tabs on all the boyz! -

Going 25 for MIT.
Just a bit too small at 30 for some of the top level kids there. Nace overpowered him with his strength and size same with D'urzo.
Darby has just had too many situations of need early on to be down at that weight. I would guess that he and Longwell will go 19/25 or 25/30 depending on the siuations and being able to bump up another class if needed.
Darby is still without 2 solid Sophs in 112 Booth and 145 Walker. Not sure when/if they will be back. -
cruiser_96BOOOOOOOOTH!!!!!! Of course!
...check DI central rankings. -

OK got it. -
Sid103, 145, 171 and 285 look very thin on quality numbers. Of course 103's are usually freshmen and sophmores. The 189 group looks very tough. I'll go with Alex Utley (CVCA) here. He is a monster.

Dad4SportsCanal Winchester takes a big hit as both Dalton Tullius and Joe Boswell are out for the MIT......
