Should be a good one! -
cruiser_96YES! This is going to be an OUTSTANDING tournament. And with it being individual, it's going to be a lights-out finals round!
-
slow-n-steadyDoes look to be a veryinteresting tourney. I like that it is an individual tourney.
Cruiser - can you give us a quick rundown of possibilites for that final round. -
cruiser_96This may prove to show my inabilities and ignorance but...
103: Will Bobby Smith, who has been rumored to be making the move down here, make the move this week??? Personally, I don't think it's possible. I saw him at 112... WOW!!! if he does. The Burg no longer has the Jacket, but they do have a tough 103 (if he's here this week) in Straughter. Pick. North has former GM Cruiser, Taylor and Teays Valley has a light but fierce Nace. I am unsure of what Valley View has, not because the kid might not be good, but because I am not omniscient.
112: Could be Ready's to lose with either Hall or Smith, however, Valley View is the unknown. Gutierrez (sp?) of DeSales could/should make it. Not to mention Teays Valley's 112 pounder!? If Darby's Longwell goes here, it'll be DYN-O-MITE!!!!!!
119: It could be that Hall (R), Longwell (HD)... maybe someone from Gahanna???????? If Wilson from DeSales is here, watch out!
125: Bigger Nace might be here. Hutchinson (CW) is excellent. If Wilson is HERE, it could be one of the best finals of the night. Not to mention if one of the McDougle's (Gahanna) is here!?!?!?!?! Good night, folks!
130: Look for Darby's Donatelli here. Add in Nace (if not at 125), Boswell (CW) one of the McDougle's here. If Day from Valley View dropped to 130, he's gonna be a handful.
135: This weight has Toulius (CW), Reynolds (GM), possibly a McDougle (GH), Hinze (PN), and even Valley View's Day!!!
It is at this point that I think I'm going to have to take a break. THis is going to be one HECK of a tournament.
140 through 171 coming up soon, and then possibly 189 through 285. -
USMCdevil05You have to throw morehart DQ in at 119 and smoot in at 125. Smoot is coming along very well this year, lost to the castro kid from centerville in a very close one but other than that ahs been flawless.
-
USMCdevil05if bobby smith makes it down to 103 then i dont see him losing to anyone here, or even until state foir that matter.
Also where is Mar sico at??? -
Dad4Sports
Marsico is attending Kiski Prep in Pennsylvania, I believe........USMCdevil05;598978 wrote:if bobby smith makes it down to 103 then i dont see him losing to anyone here, or even until state foir that matter.

USMCdevil05wow. I was thinking maybe he was hurt. Thats good for him. Is that a good wrestling school? Im confused, ive never heard of them. Maybe he should have went to blair.
-
Dad4SportsBig Nace and both the McDougle twins cannot go lower than 130....Most of the CW kids certified at Marysville to be eligible for their 2 lbs. at Medina. Look for them to possibly wrestle up a weight class this week.
Possibilities???
103...Smith?, Gutierrez (DeSales), Nace, Valenti (Darby)
112...Hall, Smith?, Brady (CW)?, Booth (Darby)
119....Longwell, Hall?, Morehart, Brady (CW), Wilson?
125...Wilson?, Smoot, Lawson (Valley View), Donatelli?
130...Hutchins, Nace, D McDougle, Donatelli?, Michael/Lawson (V.V.)
135....Hinze, K McDougle, Reynolds, Day, Tullius?
140...Howe, Luft, Boswell?, Josiah Dembrowski (Gahanna)
145...Allen (DeSales),
152....Ferguson (DeSales), Stroschein (Gahanna), Griffin (TV)
Day was injured last week at the Ryle Rumble....don't know his status for this week? -

Very good school just east of Pittsburgh. -

Yea i did some research on them and now know who they are. Good for him, it was probably hard to leave his Pick North brothers and coach Harris behind but it was for the best i would imagine. Very tough schedule, they go to ironman and beast. Plus this schoool is a top academic prep academy and will give him the tools he needs to suceed in life. Good on ya Marsico! -
SidHowes vs Luft should be a good one!
-
cruiser_96Howes and Luft and yes it will be nice. I just received word of the DII individual rankings... 125 could be SWEEEEEEEET at this tournament!!!
-
USMCdevil05share the news sir!
-
SidWaiting on the higher weight predictions. Can't wait to see the 275's here.

Hutchinson vs. Wilson would make a #1 vs. #2 in the area (respectively) final. -
Dad4SportsIt will have to wait for Sectionals or District.....IF Wilson stays at 125 (was at 119 scratch for Super 32)....but not this week.
Hutchins will be wrestling up a weight at Pickerington..... -
Dad4SportsHow about a possible Brown (Gahanna) vs Leidecker (TV) matchup at 189!!
-
USMCdevil05That would have been sweet to see in the finals! 2 very tough kids, throw in smoot TV and you have a barn burner of a weight class.

I can see that happening. Should be a good match. Also you have to throw in bowens from hilliard darby, he was a state qualifier last year i think, or he was a district placer, cant remember, but im pretty sure he is at 189 as well. -

Yes....Bowens is an animal. He was at 171 last week at Marysville (even though he did bump up a couple of times to 189). -
USMCdevil05oh ok. then thats why i thought he was at 189, i didnt see his name in any of the 171 matchs but only 189. Would be nice for him to bump up to better competition maybe! lol!
-
CthelitesBowens is an animal and he was a SQ last yr.
Doubt he bumps to 89 though since hes walking around at 65-70.
Dont know what they are going to do with Medina coming up.
I think Bowens intends on going 60 at MIT.
If Longwell goes 19 then look for Donatelli go 25 if not then 25/30.
Not sure what the coach has in mind now since this is an individual tourney now instead of a dual(I think he intended to bump them for duals???).
Id like to see the boys get certified down this week and save the 2lbs for the MIT. Just like what Dad4 said about what CW did last week.
Im not the coach though so take it FWIW.
Also as far as what else Darby has scoring wise.
Valenti 103 and Booth 112 if healthy should make some noise along with El-Gueroush Hvy -
USMCdevil05Ready has a tough kid at 171, Halko is his name i think.
-
Dad4Sports
FYI....he was at 171 for 3 of his 5 matches. As was mentioned, he is a small 171. He was at 189 to help maximize team points in the duals. He will be a tough 160 if he gets there for Medina!USMCdevil05;599349 wrote:oh ok. then thats why i thought he was at 189, i didnt see his name in any of the 171 matchs but only 189.
