Mr. Moore from St. Ed could not beat out Bright/Heil at 112/119 so his consolation prize may be a trip to Liberty instead of Ironman? If so, I'll take him to reach the finals at either weight.

112 & 119 could see some pretty good battles!

wow, a potential state placer not even in the lineup. that shows how much depth that team has! lol
  • cruiser_96
Yes, USMCdevil... It's a common problem at the Port. I'm sure you have your share in the Valley!
  • USMCdevil05
oh you know it!! We have had state champs who cant break back into the line up due to transfers in and middle schoolers coming up and just everyone stuck around the same weight. It is a constint problem! lol

cruiser...are you busy with another agenda or will you be in attendance at this tournament?

This should be a good tournament. Liberty has some good kids, Cardington, Sandusky Perkins, beachwood, Lebanon (GHilbert and Noble), Hartley, and lancaster should all field some tough kids.

119 should be stacked Campbell (Lex), Nelson (Way), Hunter (Pick Central), Moore (St. Eds) and Strope (Lan). Not sure where Beachwood freshman Ryan Harris is either. Guessing on the weights and if Moore is even coming but it could be a good one.
  • USMCdevil05
yes that is a tough weight class.

Any wrestler who loses their first match at states and goes on to place high is a monster/beast/stud or whatever. I could'nt agree more! He should do very well.
  • USMCdevil05
yea i think he came abck to place 4th if im correct. He is a tough kid.

I think Lexington will do much better than you are expecting. Probably will be competing for the team title. They have some no name sophmores stepping into the lineup this year that I bet will suprise some people along with calvin campbell, nick hile, and jake faust. As for Lucas Cummins I guarantee he gets beat by Brad Metz if they are at the same weight. I believe metz will be at 160

I watched lexington last week and they appear to be pretty solid from top to bottom, or vice-versa. Middle weights were very impressive.

    Consider me upset_103, but, results???

Good Luck with that...GREAT Competition...but THE WORST run tournament I have ever been too. 16 teams in an auxilary gym, (20+ team jr high tournament took precedence over the high school tournament, so they were in the main gym)..., aux gym had no/very little seating, no bout board, no pa system, couldnt follow matches, brackets were terrible, table workers were ....terrible, team scores were unknown, refs were terrible.....we may never go back. The competition was lights out though. Thinking Liberty won it.

Waynedale had Champs at 112 T Harter, 119 Zack Nelson, 145 B Stanley and 160 Z Beam....by my calcualtions, Bears should of finished about 5th or 6th (i thought we were higher, but the 1 time they did announce team scores witha portable speaker system...we were in 5th? Not too shabby for a little ol D-III Amish school.

Once again..the competition was GREAT. But you really couldnt follow any marquee matches, because you had no clue who/what weight was wrestling where and could not see the mats. It was like a open tournament.....or IDK....people standing/sitting everywhere..on floor, on mats...packed in like a herd of cattle

EDIT-15 teams St Ed green did not show

so anyone with team and individual results?
  • Sid
Having seen the Waynedale kids wrestle before. Im not surprised by their good finish.
