Triway, Bears n West Holmes
Team vs Team picks?
Weight by weight picks? -
Jmar25Waynedale wins both. Probably big. I don't know specific match ups but I just don't see many losses by Waynedale... maybe 3 or 4 the entire night...?!!?
-
riderdad1I'm with Jmar25 on this one

With all due respect, Anyone making these claims aren't familiar with the rivalrys. West Holmes has a 47 man roster with a few returning state qualifiers along with a stout supporting cast. They are coming off a Tournament Victory last weekend as well. Triway also return a state qualifier in Flinner as well as a total of 13 returning letterman.Jmar25;591568 wrote:Waynedale wins both. This Tri should be a Barnburner. -
Jmar25With max at 30, jolley at 40, and stitzline at 45 are the studs with Marshall in there at 35 who is solid.... Then Triway I have no clue but from what I can remember of last year.... won't be much there even with a stout coaching staff..... WD from 12-60 is crazy loaded.... add in a very good but undersized 103, then scrappy 71-215. So like I said earlier. Rivalry or not....
WD loses 5 matches min on the night. 1-2 in the WH range of 30-45. Maybe one at the 71-215 area. (so there is 3 losses so far) Then I foresee a major rout in the triway one. Unless they have anyone besides Flinner ( I'm not counting that forfeit or any other at HVY.) I see 1 loss at 71-215. Then one of the young kids like constable (forget his weight) /wirth possibly losing. So that equals 5 right there.... throw in that Rivalry loss... my new number is 6! 6 losses for waynedale on the night. -
Jmar25I'll say it now before I get blasted... I highly underestimated W.H.'s depth. They wrestled real well. Won every swing match. Congrats Knights.
-
THE4RINGZHow do you underestimate WH's depth? They have one of the best two programs in the Wayne/Holmes County area.
-
THE4RINGZThe other program being Waynedale.

1_beastGreat night of wrestling!!! Bears had a nice win over Triway. West Holmes prevailed 33-30. Waynedale gives up 2 forfeits, 171 and Hwy. T Harter won a thriller in OT, to anchor the Bears scoring. A pin would have tied the Dual, however WH would have won on criteria.
Coach Woods has a very nice squad down there. -
THE4RINGZWhy did Waynedale forfeit two weight classes? No wrestlers, or weight issues?
-
1_beastPersonal reasons. Nothing weight related. Hwy is getting healthy and 171 had wisdom teeth pulled.
-
THE4RINGZI understand. I was just trying to get a picture of where the Bears were at team wise. Best of luck this season to the Bears.

I knew of Roshkoph, Stitzline, Overholt, and Jolley. Outside of those guys and with Lane Darr not wrestling tonight... I didn't see much else really. I think even if I would have seen match ups prior to my original statement I would have felt the same way. W.H. had a few more scrappier kids then I thought and I thought their younger kids weren't quite as far along as I thought WD's are. So I missed on that aspect of W.H.
I really thought Stanley and Orr were also going to have wins so... there ya go... -
THE4RINGZWoods had his kids ready to wrestle.

1_beastLike I said....LOL , West Holmes has a 47 man roster and cannot be overlooked. I knew it would be a brawl. A few got away that could of swung the other way. Would of liked Coach to have kept the same line-up as the Triway dual. Perhaps only give up 3...or win?? at 140....and eliminate the -6 at 171.??? Who knows how it would have panned out. The Stitzlein/ Stanley match was pretty close to the exact way it happened last year. I may be wrong, but my stats tell me that Stitz has never lost a dual match....
-
Mr. 300Congrats to the Knights on a huge sweep. Stitz is a beast, plus he's my neighbor.
-
JimtownWH wrestled with "Heart". They didn't roll over like some would have thought. They maybe young, but they are a close knit unit that wrestle to win. The Coaching staff from the youth program, Jr Hi and HS have prepared these young man and woman to step on the Mats with "Knight Pride". Job well done!
-
1_beastBears 3-4 freshman..5 sophomores...young
