  • Jmar25
I know this goes from the year before but do they adjust at all for the incoming years with transfers and what not? Just curious.
  • cruiser_96

    Cruiser

Can you give me a breakdown of how you see div 1 going round by round? I have noticed you emense knowledge and would like to hear how you think this div will play out. Eds. Wads. and MP really makes this interesting IMO

    #8 Mayfield

    ---------------------------------------------------| #1 St. Edward

    #5 Hilliard Davidson
----------------------| #5 Davidson (Not an upset in my mind. Plus, by the time this rolls around, they'll be ready.)
    #4 Cincinnati Elder

    #3 Wadsworth
----------------------| #3 Wadsworth (IMO: IF there is going to be a first round upset, it's here.)
    #6 Cincinnati Moeller

---------------------------------------------------| #2 Massillon Perry (If both teams are 100%, this is the best match of the day.)

LOL I said a date to "EXPECT" the report....lol I had to be the 1st to ask. We all know its late Jan. (i think about the 28th last year) ;)
  • USMCdevil05
Yea but man i do look forward to it every year, who will be the first to start the thread!!!! lol!

I can't wait until the OHSAA establishes a true team state tourney.
  • USMCdevil05
wel they are talking about startign duals the week before sectionals, and top 2 go on to make up a district dual tourney with some other sectionals and then so on at the state level the sunday after the state tourney i do believe.
  • 1_beast
TERRIBLE Idea...who wants to risk being beat-up/injured in a dual the week before/of sectionals/districts...possibly ending a State run?
  • USMCdevil05
I agree. I think it is a stupid idea anyways. But if they did it after the state tournament, i mean the whole thing, then it might be ok. But oh well.
  • Con_Alma
That's exactly what's going to happen. The OHSAA is no longer going to base team state championships based on the individual tourny. The OHSAA State Champion will be based on the dual tournament and it will be run by the OHSAA not the Coaches Association.

    It is a big change.

I want to know how the seeding process will be defined.
  • USMCdevil05
thats what i was wondering. Will they vote on it at a sectional dual seeding meeting and then go from there>>??? I think it isnt a bad idea, but I think sectionals should start the sunday after the state tourney individual and go from there. Dont have it before or during the tournament. Maybe have like the sectionals one weekend like 2 weeks before sectional for individual qualificatuions.

    This is on OHSAA website:

"An outline for how the wrestling dual team state tournament was presented to the Board by OHSAA Assistant Commissioner Henry Zaborniak. The dual team state tournament, which will begin during the 2012-13 season, will be conducted in a seeded, regional format (similar to football) and will conclude the week prior to the sectional round of the individual state tournament. The dual team state tournament will be a one-day event consisting of the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. Zaborniak and the committee meet again in mid-January to continue discussions."
