Central Ohio Al-Star Meet

  Anyone have any idea who each eligible school is nominating? Cruiser96, you are the guru of Central Ohio wrestling, any ideas?

  Tomorrow is the meeting... 3pm @ Gahanna High School.
  
  The coaches will get together - DI in their room, DII and DIII in another - and each coach will fill out a sheet of paper listing their kid's accomplishments. In some cases, the answer for representatives 1, 2, and 3 will be clear. In other cases a vote will go up. And that's pretty much how it works.
  
  The meeting usually takes about an hour and then we all get together and brag about how our team is going to win the district tournament, swear and cuss like sailors and then dance the ceremonial jig to end the meeting. (Just kidding. Just making sure you were still paying attention!)
  
  If I get the list for both DI and DII & DIII, I'll post them.
  
  ps: I think it is the ALL-Star meet. I could be wrong.

  You misunderstood my post, I am looking for an Al-Star Meet featuring only wrestlers with "al" in their names. Sheesh! You'd think you were from Groveport. Grovetucky or someplace similar. {I can pick on Groveport since my wife graduated from there} BTW, thanks for providing whatever info. you can. Much appreciated.

  * indicates that certain wrestlers were put up even though it is understood that they will not be wrestling in the event. Delande @ 145 was #1, Gill was #1 @ 152 and Mickley was #3 @ 160. All three wrestlers are currently displaying superiority on the gridiron thanks to a vigorous off-season weight-lifting regimen conducted by head coach, Dom DiSabato, who, coincidently, was a 3x state champion for Bishop Ready High School. Just sayin’.

  Also, I'd rather be the smartest guy in cyber-space.
  
  I'm thinking about taping and uploading onto Gohio. It's one-one-one so, in my mind, it does lose some luster. However, as one of the coaches stated today, this could be the one time a kid sees himself one the interweb! (Thanks algore.)
  
  Also, it truly would be based on both sets of coaches being on board. The way I see it, I have 3 chances to get a match per weight class. But, if a coach, or anyone else in charge says no, then I guess I won't.

  i think he will look a lot better than expected not having to cut so much weight, he really under preformed last year at 103, then again, i dont know so much about d2 and 3 guys. i dont expect to even be over .500 with my predicitons

  i'm rooting for the olentangy boys...i think fiorucci wins, fosco and his funk wins, and i know that caserta had a close match with forridor last year, so that's going to be a tossup...also i think hetterscheidt wins, as well as steinmetz winning...the matchups are going to be very good though from 103-hvy, and i cant wait to watch them

  Lee Wilson. He looks great, went 5-2 at Super 32 and was, I think, 27-3 before his injury last year. If healthy, will definitely be a strong contender to place at State.

  So at 215 and Hvy, Jackson (Hartley) and Prather, Fultz, maybe others (West Jeff) are nominated but yet still are playing. What about Brown (Big Walnut) and Maynard (Bishop Watterson)? No nomination but are still playing. Maybe the aforementioned are not playing football. Just curious. Unlike the previous years, hopefully all the kids nominated show up and wrestle.

  I think the coach had to nominate his own wrestler, then it was voted on by the coaches of that particular group D1 or D2-D3.
  If a coach did not show up to nominate his kid then the kid didnt get in.
  At least that is what I was told.
