Im pretty sure Matt Stephens is going to be graham's 160 and i saw Gresham was wrestling at 171 for super 32's, but i agree i dont see higgins beating the top elite guys at 160 unfortunately.

    Bitter...

    How 'bout at 171?

Hizzmuther...Several of the names I listed are likely to be at either 160 or 171. You've got to think with Konner Witt and Ian Miller, Oak Harbor will throw a horse out there at 160 and 171. Miller, in particular, will be close to unbeatable in Ohio this year and where ever he goes may drive others up or down. Kyle Ryan was runner-up at 160 (after winning a title the previous year) and Hudson Evans won the title at 171, both for Graham. One of them will likely be at 171 (with rumors of Isaac Jordan being as high as 152/160. Chaz Gresham (Goshen), only a junior, took a strong third at 152 and could be at either 160 or 171. I would say only Miller would be ranked above him at either weight.

Just looking at the 171-pound bracket from last year, Keith Johnson (Dover) finished 7th and returns. Delane King (Lakewood) took eighth and is back. Nick McCall (Wauseon) was 5th and comes back for his senior season. Each of these guys placed last year at this weight and all likely return here joining a few of the superstars listed above and others moving up from 152 and 160. Higgins, for all his talent and skills, which are considerable, failed to place in the 135-pound bracket. I just don't see him leapfrogging all the wrestlers who have already placed at this weight or weights closer to this. If he was still at 135, he wouldn't be favored to win a title, let alone jumping 30+ pounds and stepping on the mat seasoned State placers at 171.

Don't sell Higgins short.....he has the "small man moves" and "funk" to give the bigger boys fits. If he is strong enough, I think he'll do just fine....
