oldskoolnike103-112
1.Murdock Dublin Coffman
2.Timchenko Olentangy Orange
3.Herrera Westerville North
4.Booth Hilliard Darby
5.Spearman Lancaster
6.Mullucey Dublin Coffman
Murdock placed with in the state last year and has been absolutely fantastic. In the off season this year he won Greco and Freestyle states over Timchenko and won a junior olympics gold medal beating Fiorucci and is the district favorite at 112. After a great freshman campaign including a 7th place state finish it will be interesting to see Timchenko 2.0. Herrera beat SQ Braham before losing to Marsico and Noble. Booth and Mullucey will be tough.
119-125
1.Disabato Hilliard Davidson
2.Josh Hunter Pickerington Central
3.Strope Lancaster
4.Longwell Hilliard Darby
5.Haslam Westland
6.Ryan Olentangy Liberty
Until proven otherwise Disabato is the man, and two time district champion and state placer. Josh Hunter is fantastic and will turn heads this year, he was a disney duals and junior olympics AA this summer. Strope had a rough tournament last year but will be back in full force this year, he is right there with both #1 and #2 guys. Longwell shocked us all beating strope last year to qualify, he will be solid once again this year. Haslam wrestled a solid tournament last season losing to Hunter in the match to go, his weekness may be a good work out partner. Look for Jake Ryan to be greatly improved.
130-135
1.Forrider Marysville
2.D.McDougle Gahanna Lincoln
3.Boone Olentangy Liberty
4.Alger Westerville North
5.K.McDougle Gahanna Lincoln
6.Hinze Pickerington North
The Marysville show will continue in this stud sophomore who upset Disabato to place last season, look for him to be dominate. Drew McDougle had some solid wins last year including one at the schott. Boone lost to McCombs and Stevens in his matches to go before having an impressive major over Whitt for 5th and 6th. Alger was pretty darn good last season before losing to stevens in the match to place. Kasee McDougle is tough but had a rough draw last year falling to Hunter and Gilbert at districts. Hinze had a solid year being eliminated by two dayton wrestlers.
140-145
1.Mickley Hilliard Davidson
2.Riley Mt.Vernon
3.Delande Hilliard Davidson
4.Snyder Olentangy Liberty
5.Howes Pickerington North
6.Schrembi Gahanna Lincoln
Mickley is very good, but he wrestles very close matches, he fell to Snyder last season. Then came back and beat him for third. Riley was a shocker last season avenging a loss to Taylor at the schott to place 8th. Delande placed 4th in a loaded weight last season which gave him a tough draw at state, should be much improved as an upper classman. Snyder upset Mickley in the quarters and was then able to beat Wray of springfield in the match to go. Howes is very tough, but just happened to have a very tough draw falling to two SQ's in Riegle and Sisler. Schrembi is tough just couldnt quite get over the hump of Green and Mickley last season, will be top 4 at one of these weights this season.
152-160
1.Pickett Central Crossing
2.Gill Hilliard Davidson
3.Bowens Hilliard Darby
4.Miller Marysville
5.Kowaleski Grove City
6.Thomas Olentangy Liberty
Pickett was 8th in the state last season for westfall, now he back in division one and is looking very good. I expect him to be #1here. Gill was a bit of a shocker last season beating many quality guys to qualifiy and even winning a match at state. He is tough to takedown and will be my #2 here. Tyler Bowens did what he was expected to do with the draw he had at districts. He is a great thrower and hard nosed. Miller fell one point short of the schott twice in a row, but finished a solid 6th and will be improved. Kowaleski was 1-2 last year after losing to Mickley in the consis(no shame in that). In fact, he had beaten Mickley the week before at sectionals. Thomas had some solid wins last season and fell just a match short of placing.
171-189
1.Leidecker Teays Valley
2.Brown Gahanna Lincoln
3.Brown Westerville Central
4.Hughes Grove City
5.Sanders St.Charles
6.Montgomery Mt. Vernon
This is a group where you can pretty much distinguish who will be at what weight.Leidecker is a two time qualifier in two tries but he has yet to capture that elusive district title. Look for him to accomplish that this year. N. Brown should be rather untested in the 189 pound weight class. Zach Brown should be back and could possibly be at 160 but i look for him to at least start the year at 171, watch out for him hes a hard worker. Hughes had a great season last year including a pin over Bui in the sectional finals but puttered out at districts finishing 0-2. He will be back for revenge this year and very tough. Sanders lost in the match to place last year but if he has a senior year like his brothers watch out. Montogomery came on to the scene late last year and had some solid wins at the district level.
215-HWT
1.Thirkield Marysville
2.Odierno New Albany
3.Reynard Grove City
4.Flemming Olentangy Liberty
5.Knoch Hilliard Davidson
6.El-Geroushi Hilliard Darby
Thirkield squeaked out in a solid field of heavys last season as just a sophomore and will be #1 at hvy. Odierno was 5th and wrestled well at the district tournament falling to lamancusa. Reynard had a suprising post season wrestling tough. Rumor is Flemming will be at hvy this year. Knoch and El-Geroushi provides good depth. -

CountingLightsDon't think any state qualifiers are coming back so we need a list of 215 district qualifiers/returnees, that should be your tops. Anyone have such a list?

knightflyer150Liberty is very deep at every weight. They will be very strong in a dual meet, especially if everyone gets in the line-up.
I think Davidson has the most "star" pop: I see four guys that could be district champs. They also have a very good 103 that just got stuck in a weird bracket at sectionals.
Of course, Gahanna out of nowhere last year and return many studs. Pick North tough. Marysville always tough and deep--> REASON 1: Physical kids and good coaching REASON #2--> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMXRE6YBIbA
Many others to talk about. Who are some "hidden gem" wrestlers? -

Do you think Patrick could make it down to 285?knightflyer150;514576 wrote:Marysville always tough and deep--> REASON 1: Physical kids and good coaching REASON #2--> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMXRE6YBIbA -

Possibly. However, I would enforce this rule:
1.12.1.3 Legal Upper-body Undergarment. If sufficient reason
is determined by the referee, the only acceptable upper-body
undergarment is a tight-fitting, short-sleeved unadorned T-shirt. -
CthelitesThought Id get this one back TTT since weve had some D2 discussion.
